Machine translation: progress or regression?
21 June, 2019The Oxford dictionary describes the word feat as “an achievement that requires great courage, skill, or strength”. There is no doubt that simply taking part in an event such as Ironman, which will be held on Sunday 14 July, in Vitoria-Gasteiz, fits this definition down to a tee.

This edition is particularly special for us, as it includes a participant who will fly our flag, that of Galicia and that of Globalingua, during the event’s three demanding tasks. That is why we want to dedicate this entry to the athlete who has accepted the huge challenge of completing such a feat, David Piña. He has already participated in difficult events in the past, such as the Northwest Triman, held in Galicia, and the Half Ironman in Cascais, Portugal, our neighbouring country.
In sports, as in life, hard work, effort and humility are key values. True to these values, David has been strictly and rigorously preparing for the big day for months. As all good athletes know, after this long road of preparation, training and even suffering, the really good part is now about to begin. Now is the time to really focus on enjoying and living the experience.

David, at Globalingua we would like to send you all our support and thank you for representing us with such dedication and commitment in this important event. It doesn’t matter how many obstacles come your way on Sunday, Globalingua and your family and friends will always be behind you, giving you a little extra motivation, because we know that you won’t be lacking in strength. We send you all our support and wish you the best of luck!
We’re ALL coming together on Sunday!
